Introduction about Geometric Shapes Cone

Definition

A cone is a solid with a round bottom. It has a curved surface which gets to a chief point at the top. The cone height is the perpendicular space from the bottom to the vertex.

In geometric, the cone shapes contain two parts. The part names are as follows,

  • Circle gives the base.
  • Sector gives the rounded outside.

Area formula for Cone

Surface area of cone = Area of sector + area of circle

= лrs+лr2=лr(r+s)

Formula

Cone (surface)= pi * radius * side

The following the shapes of cone in geometric.

This is represents the cone shape.

Cone Properties

In geometric, the cone shapes consist of the following three properties ,

  • Volume
  • Face surface area
  • Total surface area

Equations

Volume

We can find the volume of cone by using the following formula.

Where,

r - radius of the cone's base.

h - cone height.

Face Surface Area

The face surface area formula is as follows,

Where,

r - radius of the cone's base.

h - cone height.

Total Surface Area

We can find the total surface area by the following formula.

Total SA=SA+лr2

Where,

r - radius of the cone's base.

SA - face surface area.
